How to eat it: Our favorite super-simple preparation for amaranth is to boil it in the morning for about 20 minutes (water to amaranth ratio = 2:1), add some chopped walnuts, bananas, and maple syrup. Delicious!
Kefir is a fermented milk drink, much like yogurt but with a less thick consistency.
Why we love it: Kefir is good for your digestive system: Kefir is a treasure trove of probiotics, which help maintain gut health.
Low lactose: The beneficial yeast and bacteria in Kefir provide natural lactase, the enzyme that counteracts more of the lactose, leaving this drink almost lactose-free and making it ideal for people with dairy intolerance.
