For those of you who love your tea as much as we do, you might be interested in checking out this BBC News article about the possible drastic increase of the price of tea in the near future.
Could this sharp jump in tea costs be yet another result of global warming?
Due to drought in Kenya, India, and Sri Lanka, the supply of tea has been drastically reduced this past year. At the same time the demand for tea is up nearly 5% from 2007. Like oil, the demand for tea has far surpassed the supply, and the trend is forecasted to continue as tea traders worry the production gap will only continue to worsen in the near future.
This is news that we, big tea drinkers that we are, don’t like to hear.

Thanks for this article! I had to pass it on.
