Update About The Restaurant Julienne

Friday, 17 October, 2008

Do you remember our post about the new restaurant on our corner, Julienne, which we wrote a month and a half ago or so?  We felt compelled to write about this restaurant because we were delighted to have a new neighbor on our corner that, like all of the other business surrounding it, is a locally-owned operation which offers a high-quality product and open, friendly service.  And the best part of all is that Julienne’s food happens to be exceptional while at the same time “local, seasonable, and sustainable” (the restaurant’s motto).

Anywho, we just wanted to offer a little follow-up to our original Julienne post, which was written when the restaurant was only two weeks old.  At that time, the restaurant was nearly empty whenever we visited – there were maybe 3 tables having dinner while we were there, including ours.  However, it seems that the word about Julienne has majorly spread (we hope that our little blog post might have contributed in some small way :) ), because when we dined there last weekend, we were amazed to see that the restaurant was absolutely full!  It was a fully bustling, booked-up, busy business.  (Do you like our sly use of alliteration?)  We were so impressed by this change in atmosphere that we snapped a photo so that we could show you how fun Julienne is.  (We know it’s kind of a dark photo, but we didn’t want to use the flash to alert all of those diners that we were photographing them – you know?):
