The gist: Staying active while you age is an excellent way to keep your body healthy and youthful. Also, our bodies don’t “slow down” as we age to the extent that many of us believe – we are fully capable of strong exercise well into our elderly years.
2) “Study Finds Happiness Lowest at Midlife” by Denise Gellene in the Los Angeles Times
The gist: A new study has shown that people are happiest at the beginning and end of their lives, while middle age is characterized by dispiritedness. Two possible explanations are that blissful people live longer (!), and as people age they learn to appreciate their lives.
