SBYC logoSanta Barbara Yoga Center would like you to know about some new developments taking place at their fine studio.  Here’s a quick summary: Derek Rue is a new teacher on staff, Nora Coolridge, who has been away in Ashland for three years, is back and teaching at SBYC again, SBYC is now offering yoga classes for teens, and all is well with the recent return of Steve Dwelley and Michele Nichols’ Mysore Ashtanga program. :)

For a more in-depth explanation of these developments, see below for a full write-up in SBYC’s own words:

“Please join us in welcoming back old friends and greeting new ones!

We are excited to offer you even more choices for your exploration of yoga and life – life and yoga.

Derek Rue brings athletic enthusiasm to his classes and if you are lucky he might speak French, sing a song, or play the ukulele for you.

Niav Connor brings her many years of study and dedication to yoga and healing, to the world of TEENS on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Joining Niav on Saturday’s at noon, in the grand journey to support teens, is Felicia Paige.  She hopes to encourage teens to be kind to their bodies, to breathe and to live more fully in the present moment.

Returning home to SBYC is Nora Coolridge!  We are honored to welcome back Nora, who has continued her deep exploration and love of Yin Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga and Meditation while living in Ashland, Oregon for the past 3 years. She begins teaching on Saturday, November 9th, so be sure to check our all that she has to share.

Also, Steve and Michele are settling in with ease and the Ashtanga Mysore program, so indulge your curiosity and take advantage of their FIRST-TIMERS offer of 10 classes for $100 (expires in 30 days).”
