We don’t usually write here on our blog about products that we sell at Drishti, but we were so excited about this particular item that we just couldn’t help ourselves. It’s an actual Restorative Yoga DVD – the first of its kind that we’ve seen! Most yoga DVDs on the market today (and there are an abundance of them, believe you me), focus on any style of yoga except for Restorative. Because this style of yoga entails relaxing in one yoga pose for several minutes at a time, our guess is that most DVD producers felt that this style was too ‘restful’ or ‘inactive’ to easily capture in video form. But Real Bodywork didn’t buy that line of thinking. They decided that creating a Restorative Yoga DVD would serve as a contribution to the general body of yoga DVDs out there, and despite the long-held poses, they were able to film this yoga style in a compelling, engaging way. And we must also add that this DVD is jaw-droppingly gorgeous in its production value and design. The colors, camera angles, pace, and direction are just fabulous. This DVD makes us want to practice Restorative Yoga all day, every day!
