Yesterday’s New York Times featured an article on the growing trend of kirtan (call-and-response chanting) within the yoga world. Krishna Das was predictably the main kirtan artist discussed. Did you know that his kirtans have recently drawn over 700 people? That is quite a crowd for such an event!
Here’s a quote from KD in the article: “It’s not about belief in any religions, so people are coming from all walks of life. You give it a try and if it works, you’re in fat city. If not, you do something else.”
We just have one question. What is fat city?

“Fat city” is when you’re pooping in the TALL cotton. /dying 20th-century colloquialisms.
